2023 was another year full of hits, and new stars emerged as Ice Spice cemented herself as a top new artist, while legends continued their run like Nicki Minaj returning to form with her new album Pink Friday 2. I also enjoyed the rise of Central Cee and Brent Faiyaz's Larger Than Life album. It was a great year to listen to music and I hope that my picks give the year justice!

I don't believe that "Oh U Went" was anyone's pick for the #1 song of 2023, but in my opinion it's a flawless record. Drake delivered one of his best features, arguably his best verse this year, and Young Thug's volatile voice gave us a perfect hook over a future classic Metro Boomin beat. I think this song was honestly underrated as it only peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Oh U Went" deserved more respect and we're going to look back and wonder how it wasn't bigger than what it was during release.

As for the rest of the top 10, those records could've been in a different order and I wouldn't be upset with myself. I think all of those artists put their best foot forward and delivered amazing records. I know that music is subjective, so I don't expect my list or the order it's in to be the end all be all, but I do hope that you at least listen to these records and see if you see my perspective on things. There will be an accompanying playlist to go along with this article as I do every year. I appreciate you all for reading and I hope 2024 brings us another great top 100.
